Arts and crafts

At work we have a birthday board for all the birthdays of the month. Normally the employee training coordinator does them but since she admits to not having a creative bone in her body I have taken over. Last month was school themed and this month is mario. I love these kind of things and Im pretty sure I rocked it this month.

Do you want to build a snowman

The answer is always no now. I was so excited to try and make an olaf for our little friend Hannah.  I thought about making it out of Styrofoam but then I saw the price of each piece.  Twelve bucks each. No thank you. So then I enlisted my mom to help me sew one. If you knew my mom she loves projects and crafts so she was on board and we had lots of ideas for how we would make him. Day one of olaf was a disaster.  His balls were not round. His stuffing was bulky.  The only useable piece we had was his head. So day two, we started all over with his body and stuffing.  The body looked great so we just had to stuff it. Well we bought bean bag stuffing thinking it would make olaf look nicer. Well little did we know that the little balls in bean bags have a mind of there own. We had little balls everywhere.  It took us like two hours to fill the olaf with the stuffing.  So after two days and about 12 hours of work the olaf is done. And im happy to say it was all worth it knowing that Hannah loves it. The pictures are my moms floor after all the balls went everywhere, the none round body, and the finished product

A full fridge

So we worked all night and made horrible money.  What could make it worse.  Having to buy groceries right after we got off. So for a hard day of work we are going home with twenty dollars less than when we started the day with. At least we have food in the house so we have full bellies. Working to work more tomorrow.  Hopefully it will be busier tomorrow night. Im glad all of our bills are paid this month.  Now I need gas money.

Jerk faces

Have you ever seen someone cause a scene and knew you couldn't do anything about it. It feels rotten.  This middle age man was at little caesar when I was waiting on my cheesy bread. He came in like any other person and asked for a pizza. The girl got his pizza and took his money. End of story, right. Wrong. Just as he was about to leave a young man that works there puts some crazy bread in the warmer and the first man started freaking out on the cashier.  Apparently the man didn't like the workers hands. On closer look the young man had a skin condition on his hands. Clearly working in the food industry with a skin condition the young man knows all the proper protocols and knows that his psoriasis is not contagious.  Not to mention he has probably dealt with jerks his whole life pointing out his skin flaws. So instead of taking his five dollar pizza and leaving he caused a scene.  He continued to ask the cashier if the guy handled the food, if he wore gloves, if he knew he had warts on his hands. On and on this grown man went. It was so embarrassing to watch. Then the man looked at me looking as if he wanted my help in assisting his assault on the poor guy behind the counter.  I gave him my best "are you freaking crazy" look  and  then continued to look at him to make him feel uncomfortable.  Finally after the man realized he had no leg to stand on and that he had a good chance of getting a hot pizza on his face he left. And as he left I did the only thing in my power. I called him a douchebag as the door closed behind him. It just amazes me that he feels so high and mighty that he could make another person feel so small just because he thinks he knows what's best for everyone.  Lets just hope karma comes and helps this man find his errors.

School time for the little ones

I love seeing all of the first day of school looks. Some kids pose with big smiles, while others look like the camera is a torture device used only to make them stand still for twenty seconds at a time. Either way the first day of school is a fresh start for a new year. New friends, new teachers, and homework as always. I can't wait until we have a little one so we can hit all of these milestones too. Hopefully we will have one very soon.

Pressure

I never realized how much pressure I would be under now that we are trying to get pregnant.  Everywhere I turn someone asked me if we are pregnant yet. We stopped preventing it in June but we didn't even have a chance to get knocked up until July. How does everyone expect me to have a bun in the oven two days after they asked me before.  If we were pregnant already it would still be too early to tell people and too early to go to a doctor for it. Yet people dont understand why I blow them off. It takes some couples years of trying. Could you imagine having everyone ask you if you are pregnant for two years. That has to cause problems emotionally.  My answer from now on will be when it happens it happens.  And when it happens you will not know about it until after twelve weeks. I know two women that have made an announcement and had to post that they aren't pregnant like a week later. Talk about heart braking.  So if anyone knows a couple that is trying to conceive lay off and wait for it to happen just like they are
