At seventeen weeks

Man it has been a good couple of weeks being pregnant.  I just started to feel the baby move. Im starting it look pregnant instead of fat and in less than a week we should know if its a boy or girl. All my nausea has gone away for the most part and we are just enjoying having no baby names picked out. We dont like any names so we started picking the weirdest ones we can fine just to get a reaction from each other. So we know which names we dont want but none that we do. Someone suggested that we wait until the baby comes and then look at it to see what names fit. At least we still have like five months to figure something out.

Patience is a virtue

So I had my first real practice with being a rational pregnant woman yesterday.  I was working when an older man that im not fond of came in and got a togo order. Its normally not a problem I bring his food up and tell him to have a great day and walk away before much more can be said. Well I was not so lucky this time. He stopped me and asked me if I was pregnant because one of my lovely coworkers shared this information with him. I told him yes we were expecting and due in April.  I go to walk away and he stops me. He then asks if I think I will have problems.  A little confused by the invasive questioning I told him that the doctor told me that I would have an easy time popping a kid out. Again I try to walk away.  Then he stops me again and tells me that he feels it is unsafe for me to have a kid at my age and that I should be concerned for my safety and my baby. He continued to tell me that im too old to have a child and what a bad thing it is that I was pregnant.  I just stood there. In shock. Im freaking 26 years old and in the prime baby making age. How dare this man say anything to me about my pregnancy at all let alone my age and the safety of my baby. So you know what I did. I told him to have a great day and walked away.  So not only did I manage to keep my cool but I also managed not to say anything that would continue the awful conversation this man was forcing me to have. I say that's a win for being the nicest pregnant woman ever.

Halloween is coming

I love Halloween. Its one of my favorite holidays.  This year isn't going to be that awesome because leif has to work but I still get to pass out candy with a friend so it should be good.  I can't wait to see all of the costumes this year. It will give me ideas for next year when we have a bundle of joy to dress up.

Girls night

It was a very exciting girls night tonight.  My mom and I spent all night making her trunk or treat decorations.  Its Noah's ark.  Its totally amazing.  I think it made us a little loopy at one point because when I started to paint the lion I burst out in song. A song that I dont know the words to. And I was not quite with my gibberish.  It was a loud " nayyyy zin waity a, vessa la ves se a moor". Well it was supposed to be the opening song from the lion king but  im not sure of all the words. So my mom just laughed and we continued.  Im a little bummed they dont give out a prize but the shocks and awwws should be prize enough.

Official

They say nothing is official until you put it on Facebook. So now we are officially announced to the world. Well our world, at least.
