Dance recital

I went to watch a dance recital of a close family friend last night. She did such a good job and the whole thing was sooo cute. These tiny little girls were so adorable in little outfits spinning and kicking. Man it made me want a child so bad. Then I heard how much it cost for the one recital and one class a week and thought maybe dance is not for my children.  Its getting so close now. Its almost real. I can't wait and neither can leif now. He is ready for August and that makes me so happy.

Getting ready

Its so exciting to plan to start a family. Looking at pinterest for ideas. Walking around stores dream in about boys vs girls. Sports vs babies. Leif is getting in on the dreaming too. Every once in a while he says things like our kid will be like this or our kids would want something like that to play with. Awhile back he even bought two stupid little talking dolls because he thought our kids would love them. We are getting so close and im hoping when August comes we can follow through with our plans.

Short cuts

We are incredibly lazy and that might not change when we have kids. The good thing about being lazy is that you look for short cuts and easy fixes.  I really like to fix my hair differently and i look for fast easy hairstyles. And I love finding easy things to bake. I made fudge that took ten minutes the other day.  I think these skills will come I handy once we have kids. If I can have easy hair and baked goods at all times maybe I will look like a put together mom instead of the corner cutter that I am.

This years garden

We have our "garden" up and running.  I say garden like that because last year our garden got our of control and it was too much to handle. This year we have garden buckets.  The buckets make things more manageable.  We can move them in and out of the house if the weather is bad. In or out of the sun if they look fried. And the best thing is weeds and grass can not crawl in and strangle the plants. The buckets are 2 bucks at firehouse subs and the money goes to charity.  Then you just mix in soil and add the plants from Lowe's that they start for you. All and all it was at most thirty buck to have a worry free garden this year.

Mothers day

I hope everyone had a great mothers day.even the one s that had to work all day. Mothers day is a special day just for moms but be sure you treat them nice all year long too. You only get one mom.

Mall bourbon chicken

Yum yum. Last night after bowling we came home and tried our hand at making the bourbon chicken that you get at the mall. It was so good. Ours had a little kick that the malls doesn't but still delicious. Im glad that we can make it at home now, its like and hour to the mall. this saves gas and money because we don't spend money at the mall this way

Bowling night

Date days are so much fun. We ate at steak and shake and are now bowling. Leif is kicking my butt so bad. When he returns from the restroom I plan on making another bet with him and losing it like all the rest. I love seeing him try to sand bag the game for me and still manage to beat me so bad. I blame him for marrying the uncoordinated left handed girl. I stand no chance and yet I still have a good time with him. Wish me luck.

Fat fat fat

Our house is on lock down until farther notice.  No one is allowed over until we lose some weight.  All of the late night drinking leads to eating a lot late at night and eating bad things. Well no more until I lose at least five pounds. My work pants are way too tight and I might split them any day now. Now it only be my four or fifth time splitting and a pair of pants but I would prefer not to.
