So I was baffled tonight when someone asked me if my mom was going to stay with us when the baby comes. All I could think of was why. We chose to have a baby not my mom. So I told them no and they asked if leifs mom was going to stay with us then. I dont know why I find this strange. I could understand some people finding it comforting to have the extra help but they can't stay forever. Why would you want to get use to having an extra hand when you wont always have them with you. I think that a couple should enjoy the first few weeks with the baby. Its the start of your family why would you want someone telling you how to do things when you can just figure it out together.
I got asked that too and was also confused. People came over to see the baby and see if we needed anything. Never did anyone stay with us. The best thing people can do for you is bring you food so, you can spend more time with your baby.
