Leifs new baby

We were walking in Ross and leif spotted this awesome toaster. You can see it as it toast. We have used it about ten times already and we just got it a week ago. He freaking loves it. We have gotten two complements on it so far and that seems a little odd because its just a toaster but I figured I would share a picture of the amazing toaster that leif is in love with.

First step

Today starts a new diet for us and every good diet starts off with breakfast. We are going to get our calories in the morning and stop eating late.  If we get hungry late something small snacks like string cheese or a glass of milk should keep us happy until morning.  Here's hoping

two days until summer workout starts

I have been telling leif for about three weeks now that we need to get back to exercising and eating right. well this morning I made him get on the scale and he finally agreed to it. we are going to be doing some weight lifting and more walking after late at night. and the biggest thing is not eating meals late at night. last night we made pizzas at one in the morning. of course that is a bad idea. we need to get this being healthy thing down quick before we have kids and pass all of our bad habits on to them.  I know its naïve to want my kids not to drink soda and eat fast food but I would like to hold that off for as long as I can. if we eat healthy then the kids have to eat healthy. its just getting us to eat healthy that might take a while. luckily we have all summer to get it down before we start trying for a baby.

Easter eggs

Girls night was a fun filled night of dying Easter eggs.  We loved the little faces and mohawks. Hope everyone has a fun safe Easter.

Birthday month

April is a month of birthdays.  My step dads was the sixth, my moms was the ninth, mine and my grandmas were the eleventh and leifs was the thirteenth.  Lots of celebrating.  This year was low key for all the birthdays. We had dinner with my parents and watched movies for ours. We normally go to theme parks or on a cruise for our birthdays. But since we are saving up for babies we didn't want to go big this year. Babies are getting closer and closer.

Practice day

We had a fun day with our little friend hannah. It was a great afternoon.it started out with cloudy with a chance of meatballs and ended with watching frozen. the whole middle time was were all the excitement was. we went to the park to swing, play and draw with chalk. I love chalk, kids love chalk, but didn't think about what would happen if you bring chalk to a park. this picture was pre-chalk. leif was doing wonderful. Hannah is the best practice kid any one could ask for but then the swarm started. it started out mild. a little girl wanted leif to pick her up and put her in the baby swing. leif didn't know what to do, her mom wasn't near us so she couldn't do it. so we just acted like we didn't hear her. she isn't our kid and we didn't want responsibly for her. then she asked again so I told her to ask her mom. then she asked again and I could see leifs face saying "what the ****". so we got off the swings and went to play with the chalk. big mistake. the little girl followed and then more kids wondered over. leif was terrified. they were everywhere. and still no parents coming over and helping. I go to open the chalk and turn and look for leif. he was gone. I look at the car and he is sitting with his hands on his head. im use to kids so I just let them all color with us and let leif calm down in the car. finally a women comes and says all the kids are from a birthday party and it was cake time. so they all left us. we had no idea chalk was better than a party. the powers that chalk possesses are strong. but with the kids out of the way we retrieved leif from the car and played on the playground. he had calmed down and said that all those kids were overwhelming.  after the playground we got ice cream to cheer leif up and went home for more chalk in the driveway followed by frozen. frozen is the best movie ever. while Hannah and I watched frozen and by watched I mean sang frozen, leif took a nap with buckeye.   it was such a fun day and leif was such a trooper. one step closer to babies for us.

The watermelon had it coming

So fun contest with the husband.  We tried to punch a watermelon open. As you can see the watermelon hits back. Had fun doing it. We laughed the whole time.  I think its best to say we won't be doing that again anytime soon.

grrr

does it make me weird that I don't want to get pregnant at the same time as stupid people I know. I know a couple people that just found out they are pregnant and I don't want to be pregnant at the same time. is that normal. I guess that very childish of me. I think its because I think having a baby is such a big deal and these people didn't want children now and didn't plan it and it just happened. everywhere I turn I run into people that just had a baby fall into their laps without the stressing of planning and saving. maybe we are doing it all wrong with planning it out. who am I kidding. of course we need to plan it out. we don't want to stress about money and having to get a bigger place to have a baby. we already have room for  a baby in our house and we have money saved up just for babies. we are the most ready for baby people I know we just cant commit to making one for real.  soon soon soon!!
