cruising

my little sister and her husband just left for their honeymoon today. they are doing the same cruise we went on last year. it felt so good to help them out with little tips and recollections from our trip. not to mention they are bringing us back some vanilla from Mexico since I am almost out of mine. the only bad thing is now I want to go on a cruise again. but we are supposed to have babies soon, and I want a baby so bad but it would be a while before we would be able to go on another cruise if we have a kid now. man planning kids sucks. if only we could not think about planning and let it happen but our minds do not work like that. we have been saving money for almost two years now for babies. we took most of it out and paid off my car so we had to start saving all over but now we can save the 280 a month that we were using for my car payment.  too much planning. will wanting to be a mom ever win out over new adventures. it just gets so hard to think that we can go on vacations or have babies. I know when we have kids that it will be a different kind of adventure and our vacations will be kid oriented but the time between having a baby and being able to take trips with them is a ways apart. bathroom breaks, snacks, tantrums and strollers are not my idea of fun but lets hope we can handle it when it comes time. for now I will just ponder until august and see if we are ready.

August again

We are about four months away from August and that's when leif said would be the ideal time to get pregnant.  Since I dont want to look like a fat cow when I get knocked up its time to go into diet and exercise mode again. I think we are going to start running at night and lifting weights in the morning.  Im still working on the diet but can't wait until August

Cake time

Leif was in love with my sister's wedding cake so I told him we would try to recreate it while we still had the taste in our mouths. Its a spin on angel food cake with almond frosting.  Me and my dad made a test angel food cake so we could compare.  Angel food cake is not easy to make. The cake turned out prefect.  Light and fluffy.  Leif said it had the taste of the cake but not the texture.  I think we need more flour in the batter to make it more cakey. Now we just have to wait until we finish this cake and I will make a different one. Who wants cake, we should have plenty

Out shooting with my dad before he heads back to Illinois.  We are having so much fun out here. Leif has improved so much since last we came. Dad is loving showing us how to shoot new guns. Its my turn again so ttfn

New accessories

Ignore the pissed off look on my face in the picture.  Im not very good at "selfies" and I get frustrated trying to get a good angle and smile. Back to the post. These are some of my new earrings and a new headband that leif picked out for me. I love forever 21 and I was picking out jeans the other day and had to look at the earrings as usual. Well this time leif was with me. Normally I get a ten minute window where he sits a plays games on his phone and I take a gander at the earrings.  Trying on jeans was going to take some time so he came in with me and helped find my size and track down the colored jeans I liked. Then we looked at the jewelry and he just kept pointing at things he liked.  And im no fool. I got everything he pointed at because if he likes it then he will remember the ones he picked out when I where them.  I've gotten so many compliments from the earrings he picked out so now im doing the earrings headband combo. Its weird what helps keep a marriage healthy but whatever works, works. If he likes something I where it. Its pretty simple to make him happy so I do it as much as I can. Loving my new accessories.

Wedding coming

For almost a year I have been helping my mom and sisters prepare for my little sister' s wedding. We did everything from shopping to decorating.  Months of little crafts and projects. Man am I sick and tired of it all. Well next week it will all be worth it. The wedding is almost here. It is a long time coming too. They have been together for over ten years. Its about damn time. I will be a cute little bridesmaid standing up there with her. I can't wait.

Best thing ever

This my friends is a squirrel cookie cutter. Why on earth would you need a squirrel cookie cutter. Well I bought it and the lady said I could also make squirrel pancakes. Now I need to find a hazelnut cut out cookie recipe and have a squirrel themed party( that would be the weirdest party ever).
